Amtrak provides passenger rail service, while Conrail and the Boston & Maine Railroads service freight rail needs to a station located right in Berlin.
|As the map on the right indicates, Berlin is conveniently located in the center of the state with easy access to two Interstate highways (I-84 and I-91), and a third major throughway (Rte. 5/15, known as the Berlin Turnpike). The Berlin Turnpike reflects the renewed vitality of our State's economy, becoming a showcase of retail development. Nationally and regionally known chains such as Home Depot, Pep Boys, Circuit City, Staples, and Lowe's Home Center have established a major retail presence on this route.|
